We went over to the old house today to fix some stuff up and get it ready to rent.  Here's Kev installing a new light in the hallway.

We need to go back tomorrow to do some more work, and then hopefully we can get the painter in.  Hope to get in on the rental market by the end of June.

If you've ever visited Colorado in the springtime, chances are you sat in a car at an intersection and wondered why the heck flocks of birds were dive-bombing your vehicle.  The answer is easy:  it's miller moth season.  Moths are attracted to the heat from the vehicles and the birds know a good lunch buffet when they see one.

Miller moths are pretty much the bane of every Coloradoan's existence for about one month a year.  They sneak in through any crack they can find, they hurl themselves against your windows trying to get in, they hang out at your porch light lying in wait for you to open the door, they actually sit on top of the door so that when you open it, they fall on your head! 

Our garage is full of them, and while we have been able to keep "most" of them out of the house, I tend to forget that opening your door at night is NOT A GOOD IDEA.  Like just now when I wanted something out of my car and opened the door to the garage. 

"LIGHT!!!", they all screamed and then raced in to the house.  And then I spent 10 minutes running around the room like a crazy person trying to catch them with a cup. (Cuz I can't kill them, it's just mean.  I'm weird like that.)

So I decided that drastic measures needed to be taken.
